What is the history of Women's History Month?
Motivated by a perceived lack of public consciousness, a Sonoma County, Calif., task force initiated a "Women's History Week" celebration in 1978. Since then, the National Women's History Month Resolution has been approved with bipartisan support in both the House and Senate.
